Museu Chácara do Céu


Art patron and amateur, the businessman Raimundo de Castro Maya (1894-1968) was one of the best collections of contemporary art in Brazil due to multiple trips to Paris, where he was born. The collection is presented in this modernist building surrounded by a garden. Matisse, Picasso, Dali, Seurat, Miro Brazilians together WITHGuignard, Di Cavalcanti, Portinori ... Furthermore maps from 17th and 18th centuries are exposed and remarkable serie of Debret Baptiste (1768-1848).
